On January 15th, 2024, Phurpoo and his trekking team went to Tsum valley and distributed jackets to the whole village, filled with only the elderly. Tsum valley, rather close to Kathmandu, is very remote and underdeveloped with limited resources. The villagers were overjoyed with the warm jackets and thoughtfulness of these strangers. Phurpoo, though was not a stranger as he has continued to support areas such as the Tsum valley for well over a decade. His continuous actions to support such villages have won him respect, love and admiration from his fellow colleagues and friends alike. The villagers were so thankful to Phurpoo and their team that they adorned them with silk khata, a cultural scarf that is meant to celebrate and dignify the ones being bestowed one. Phurpoo continues his efforts in supporting these remote communities as much as he can, spending days and nights planning for these treks
